In this documentary film, Alexander Olch finishes the autobiographical film his former professor, Richard Rogers, never could. Sifting through the hundreds of hours of film and video Rogers left behind, Olch weaves a stirring portrait of an artist and his creative process. In our site, we wanted to match the beauty of that portrait while capturing the difficulty and ambiguity inherent in the process.

When Fischerpooner approached me about redesigning their site, they had a clear — if cluttered — idea for the site. They wanted a raw, layered interface where they could chronicle their creative output. In a sense they wanted to display what they were seeing on their own desktops as they were developing their latest album and stage show. Logo design by homework.

Courtney Cox stars in this eerie recounting of a women’s tragic loss of her husband in a robbery turned violent. All may not be as it seems though as she struggles to make sense of the events. Our site tries to make sense of it as well only to be mired in a cacophony of it’s own recounting.

Fischerspooner – Odyssey website

Following the clean art direction of Fischerspooner’s Odyssey album, and bringing to life their ‘pretzel’ logo with it’s interlocking shapes and overlapping colors, was easy. The tricky part came when the band asked for some way to share the trove of images they’d collected as inspiration in the process of developing the album. We proposed an undulating mandala drawing at random from the pool of images to create a constantly moving, always unique sampling.
